Biography Unit Update

Good afternoon,

Your child received the biography unit information last week. Unfortunately I had a scheduling issue with the computer lab and they have not had enough time in class to do their research. I am extending that due date for the first portion of the project (THE RESEARCH) to 11/22. Students can work on the note taking at school and/or at home. They will be receiving an outline to further help them with their research tomorrow. I am in the processing of trying to get all the information on the blog for your convenience.

Literacy Night

Don't forget that Literacy Night is this Thursday, November 3rd.  Join us for a yummy dinner from 5:30pm - 6:00pm and "Make It and Take It activities" from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. 

Please note that dinner will be over at 6:00 pm.

Tuesday, November 1st

I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend!  It's hard to believe that 1st quarter is over.  Electives end on Thursday and 2nd quarter electives will begin on November 7th.

Students did not receive a homework packet today.  Tomorrow I will be handing out the basic information on the biography unit with the entire packet being explained and handed out on Monday, November 7th.  Students will need to pick out a biography and turn in a plan for their diary design on Monday.  Tomorrow's packet will explain this in more detail and include questions that students will need to be able to answer before deciding on their famous person.
