Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving break.  Upon returning to school we will continue to work on our novel units.  Students are reading one of the following novels:  Maniac Magee, The Bully, or The Boy Who Lost His Face.  We are studying the theme of bullying.  Bullying is a focus in Wake County this year.  These novels will allow students to discuss aspects of bullying within the context of a narrative story.  We will be having class discussions to foster higher level critical thinking skills.
